A New Posting Feature in Google My Business Platform

Allows posting through Google My Business which lets you publish your events, products, and services directly to Google Search and Maps. By creating posts, you can place your timely content in front of customers when they find your business listing on Google.

WHY DO THIS? Once you’ve published a post, it will appear to customers on Google Search and Maps in a few moments. To ensure that posts are timely, they’re removed from the default view after 7 days (or when the event date the post referenced has passed). However, a historical view of posts is shown under the “Posts” tab on mobile.

BUT Wait, Why Not Just Use Facebook?
The main difference between posting as a business on Facebook and posting as a business on Google, is that you must like a page on Facebook to be served post updates, Google Post updates are automatically shown to potential customers as a part of Google Search and Google Maps.

Authors Observation: I’ve noticed this one little fact over all my years of doing this thing called ‘marketing with the internet’ and it is this: You will never get as much love from Google as you do when you love Google as much as Google loves Google! In short, if this is what Google wants, give it to them and in return Google will help you spread the word!
